Q. How do I schedule an appointment for a fitting?    

A. You may schedule an appointment by calling (707)654-iSew or by going online at msinstitches.com.


Q. Why do you only take appointments?

A. Our goal is to provide an exceptional customer experience. We accomplish this by giving you our undivided attention.


Q. OK to arrive early?  

A. Due to spatial limitations and out of respect to the previous client we ask that you arrive no more than 5-10 minutes. Please understand if you occasionally have to wait until your actual appointment time to begin.


Q.What if I am running late or need to reschedule my city?

A. We will do our best to accommodate your requested rescheduling date. There will be a $30 late fee applied for appointments canceled with less than 24 hour notice.


Q. How long will it take to receive my items back?

A. Turn around depends on the service you need and our workload at the time your project is submitted. The average time for alterations is 7-10 business days. There may be a rush free applied to alterations orders needing a turn around time less than 48 hrs.


Q. Anything that I should bring to my fitting?

A. You will need to bring the shoes that you will wear with the garment. We do not guarantee hem services and without them. For formal wear and custom made garments, we REQUIRE you have the shoes and ALL support undergarments at EVERYTHING FITTING. Failure to bring these items or any other items recommended by our tailor will result in appointment cancelation, a fee assessment, and potentially void the pre-established due date.


Q. How much should I expect to pay?

A. For alterations, due to various garment construction styles, we are unable to quote firm prices until we see you wearing the actual garment. We can quote an estimate based on photos. For custom items, we can provide a quote join receipt of a photo or sketch.  Once your first fitting is complete, you will be required to pay a non-refundable 50% or $50 (whichever is more) deposit. The balance is due at the final fitting before pickup.


Q. Are supplies included in my bill?

A. We provide basic thread and zippers in primary colors. Any specialty threads, zippers, buttons, notions, and fabrics will be billed to you unless otherwise stated in writing by In Stitches.


Q. What if I am unhappy with the work?

A. We reserve the right to rework the project and no refunds will be issued except at the discretion of ISCT. Any claims against workmanship must be submitted within 7 calendar days from pick up. We strive to provide a 5 star customer experience wherein this instance does not occur.
